3/13/2020 – UPDATE: APPFA Spring 2020 Conference Cancelled
Dear APPFA Members:
With each day bringing more entities instituting travel restrictions, we have decided to cancel the Spring 2020 Conference in Washington, D.C. The reason for acting now is that the hotel contract allows us a small window to cancel without incurring costs under special conditions (like the WHO pandemic declaration and the D.C. State of Emergency).
The staff of the Virginia Retirement System worked very hard to put together a great conference, and we may be able to reschedule the conference they planned for another time. Thanks to them all for their efforts, and we share in their disappointment.
For those of you who have already paid registration fees, you can either request reimbursement from our Treasurer, Cheryl at CCervantesDietz@CalSTRS.com or you can have us credit your account towards a future conference.
The Fall 2020 Conference will be held in San Antonio, Texas October 25-28, 2020.
